Antique Car Show

2nd Annual Antique, Classic & Hot Rod Car Show. Room for more than 350 cars! Event raises scholarship money for students in the automotive industry. Saturday, June 7th - 5pm. Start weekend with two-hour Cruise Sunday, June 8th - Car Registration 8am-10am. Pre-registration Fee - $5/car (includes 2 persons) On-site registration Fee - $8/car (includes 2 persons) -Door prizes & 50/50 drawing -Fully-paved display area -Special trophy for "Best of Show" -Rain Date - Saturday, June 14th. Portland Symphony Orchestra is Back!

The Portland Symphony Orchestra Independence Pops concert is back at Shawnee Peak!

Enjoy wonderful, patriotic music with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Selections include: Sousa's Hands Across the Sea, Sullivan's HMS Pinafore Overture and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture - and much more!

Gates open at 5:30pm, Concert starts at 7:30 with fireworks immediately after music. Concert takes place Rain or Shine. No refunds or rain checks.

Bring a picnic or enjoy a buffet dinner in Blizzard's Pub.

Bailey's Coffee House - Bridgton's newest Coffee and Internet cafe will be on hand that night with their signature hot and iced caffeinated pick-me-ups.

Please bring a flashlight. No fireworks, alcohol (Blizzard's Pub will be open), grills, recording/video equipment or pets allowed.

Great Adventure Challenge at Shawnee Peak

The Great Adventure Challenge is a one of kind triathlon event that combines:

Kayaking (2 miles)

Mountain Biking (13 miles)

And concludes with a 2 mile dash up and down Pleasant Mountain

Costs: Registration fee is $60.00 for singles and $150.00 for teams (2 or 3 members) Registration fee is non-refundable after August 9th. (See registration for details) TEAM ROSTERS NEED NOT BE FINALIZED UNTIL RACE DAY AT THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION. All proceeds go to support Good Neighbor Inc. Fundraising Committee for the purpose of providing opportunities to adults with mental retardation and Autism.

Loon Echo Hike 'N' Bike Trek

The Eighth annual Loon Echo Hike n’ Bike Trek will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Shawnee Peak Ski Area in Bridgton to benefit Loon Echo Land Trust’s conservation efforts in the northern Sebago Lake region. Riders may choose from a 25, 50 or 100 mile ride through spectacular scenery in the White Mountain National Forest area, or a six mile hike over Pleasant Mountain’s conservation land. Entry fee is only $50 before July 1st (“early bird”) and $75 after, 15 years & under, $25. Pledges are not required to enter, but are encouraged to help the cause. A delicious barbeque meal, live music and a prize pool giveaway (for those raising pledges) will take place in the afternoon after the ride.
